Anesama toothpick doll is a paper doll dressed in Chiyogami (handcraft paper with paternal colored figures). It has a long history dating back to mid Edo era as a handcraft hobby art popular among young women. The head of Japanese toothpick is used for making the head of doll, the braid of which is made of crepe paper.
